Pho D'Lite Ratings: 3.5/5 Food: 3.25/5 - Ordered take out from Uber Eats and picked it up during COVID. I really like the crispy fried egg rolls and the shrimp summer rolls, pretty fresh ingredients. The Pad Thai was very mediocre and too sweet for my taste, not authentic at all compared to actual Thai restaurants. Same thing applies to the Bangkok Noodles as well. The chicken weren't that fresh or tender, noodles were soggy, and the sauce was lacking other flavors, taste like some grocery store bought sweet peanut sauce. Ambiance: 3.25/5 - No indoor dining available. The place is only for take out only, so didn't get to experience the interior atmosphere. Just a small family owned shop at a shopping center in College Park, nothing too special about it. The restaurant seems kind of old and plain. Price: 3.5/5 - Through Uber Eats, the order came up to be around $35. Okay price for the portion and quality of food given, had cheaper prices at other restaurants. Service: 4/5 - Could be better. There was only one girl at the register, and maybe 1-2 staff in the kitchen, so the food took a while to get ready, even though I placed through the app a way ahead, but with COVID and stuff, I can understand. BLUF: If you are craving for pho in College Park, then give this place a try. I probably will not return anytime soon. I might give it another try once they open for indoor dining again, but we'll see.
Been coming here for years, i only eat 2 pho spots regularly and this is my main one. It is conveniently located near University of MD, walking distance. Before social distancing this location was always packed for lunch and dinner. I was so happy today when I called to see if they were open that someone answered! I was able to place a takeout order and pick it up 10 minutes later. The best Pho spots are good with takeout and dine in and they nailed it! They have shredded chicken which makes it easier to eat especially for people who are not great with chopsticks.
Atmosphere - 5 Service - 5 Food - 5 Pho D'lite offers the most affordable pho to date with their 50% discount during weekend lunch. I think the broth is both fatty and rich, and they don't skimp out on the meats. The noodle themselves are standard. Nothing bad to say about this place. Great value!
I recommend this place! Pho D'Lite is a consistent spot to get some cheap, tasty pho that hits the spot! I've been a customer of Pho D'Lite for 5+ years now and usually have positive experiences here. Check in on Yelp gives you 1 free thai tea with any entree! I usually go for the BOGO pho and $1 Thai tea deal on the weekends (10:30am-12:30pm) and happy hour deal (all pho $6, $1 thai tea, weekdays only 3-5PM). Their tea is the right amount of sweetness and they give you a large cup full. As for their pho, I always get the P1 Pho D'Lite which includes everything. All the tables have Hoisin (plum) sauce and sriracha sauce, and every bowl of pho comes with a side plate with basil, bean sprouts, and jalapenos. Pho comes in a good portion with enough broth and noodles. I acknowledge that it's not the world's best pho, but for a low price, good portions, and good Thai tea on the side, I would say it hits the spot and is enough to keep me coming back. I've had their Pad Thai twice before and it was surprisingly tasty and seemed somewhat authentic. I haven't ordered it in a long time though so I'm not sure if it has changed at all. Their service could be improved. Usually, the waitstaff seem a bit slow and confused; not very professional, seem to be quite inexperienced. However, they are all friendly, nice, and seem to work hard. I've had a couple really good waiters here who were prompt and fun to interact with. Be wary about the times for the happy hour/BOGO deals. Their FB page really needs to be more accurate with the times. I always forget if happy hour ends at 5 or 5:30PM and the most recent time I went, the FB page said 5:30. I came after 5pm and it turns out the happy hour ended at 5pm, which was disappointing. So don't trust the times on FB!
Food is not bad but I won't really said it is "great". They do give tons of meat with their noodles tho so that's pretty awesome. Idk I think I will revisit but the food here doesn't really give me a really strong memory of something that makes me really want to come back . The memory's is kinda just food is decent but pretty stander quality, nothing too new or shine your eye.
